Postponed... part II

testing testing
i've finally caught on with the webcam wave heheahah :)

sigh. only because i haven't ANY pictures from jamie or pei wern.
they take forever to pass on photos, and they are RARELY online, DESPITE the fact they have a desktop/laptop in their own room.

either they are very happening and i am not, or they are just lazy to come online and i'm too gung ho about it, hehe :)

i'd like to think it's the latter, but i actually feel it is the former. sigh.

so so so so.
this is probably the first time i've not updated because i have been busy okay! it has NEVER been like this and i usually have multiple entries and never fail to have more entries than there are days in a month (as shown on the archives). but august has been a terribly hectic month with so much preparations and so many things going on in a flurry that it's really tired me out.

sooooo...
the main thing i have been busy with is my transferring, but the other thing is the merdeka rally that happened yesterday :) Resonation was leading worship on the final night and it was very stressful to prepare for it. besides the fact that there were MINIMAL practices, and at the last minute there were major adjustments, i am very very honoured to have the chance to have this experience in leading 1100 (+-) people into worship :)

it was very encouraging because it is not something i see on usual sunday services... sad to say, but oh so true, but the sunday services in PJEFC are quite dead most of the time. blame it on the worship team, blame it on the pa system, blame it on the congregation, blame it on satan, blame it on late saturday nights- wtv. it doesn't change the fact that it is pretty dead lah :\

so hearing almost 1100 people sing along during worship was a real eye-opener, and was actually pretty shocking! but above all, it was encouraging and it made me realise that worship should sound like that if it was to be confined into singing...

preparations were maddeningly tensioning cos my electric guitarist had to back out at the last minute due to reasons of his own, and poon had to replace him. we had ONE NIGHT to teach him everything, and to get poon accustomed to the songs and the dynamics... it was very kan cheong la, if you ask me, but all was well come the session and praise God because he made us all FLAWLESS on that night (ok la, save for a few hiccups i'd like to think wasn't caused by us, har har)

but i was very blessed :)

oh and after the rally, i managed to sneak some time with chocolate. omg it's been many donkey months and it was good to see you (and your botak head) again! :D :D :D oh and jamie came. debbeh totally f my fk and didn't show when she said she would! woman, where were you?!?!

this time round... merdeka seems more meaningful to me. i don't know how, and i don't know why, but the notion of independence really sparks something deep inside. corny much, and although i hate so many things about this country, but i cannot deny the fact that this IS home, and that this will always be the place of my first few firsts!

first love, first scare, first walk, first babble, first fall, first heartbreak, first hugs, first gig, first tear, first eating solid food, first crush, first boyfriend, first mamak, first food, first fight, etc etc etc.

and sincerely thinking about what Malaysia means to me was pretty shifty at first, but it all boiled down to why i think i was born here, and not some place else. i am actually pretty proud of my country, and am actually pretty sentimental about it too. i may not talk like i love my home, or show that i love it, but i do lah... kinda :)

i guess in every country, you'll always have complaints. and i'm probably too young to feel the angst my parents feel, but as far as i am concerned, Malaysia is a blessed place. after all, how on earth do you fit so many races in one small (and quite ulu) country, and not have war? God has blessed us with peace for 50 years already, and i'm pretty sure it is something you can't just overlook.

i'd like to come home and see this place developed and up and running...

yadda yadda yadda
you are not interested hee hee..

other than that, i've just been going around spending time with people (mostly poon), and spending time with my brother as much as i can... my relatives (esp my grandparents and aunty), and just soaking in all of home as much as i possibly can.

please if i haven't called you out yet please do not hesitate to call me out. i can't possibly remember EVERY SINGLE one, although i'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to k! esp to those i haven't met but are great friends with eg: isa and jiameei (so pathetic we haven't met up yet).

and uhm, yeah anyone lah

okay i am boring bye :(
