i shopped today :)
i bought lots of unnecessary things at that. but being the bloody cheapskate that i am, i only bought stuff from primark. you know, what with the ease of not trying things on and just go "ok lah, get it lah" *proceeds to toss it over my shoulder* haha, the feeling is wonderful!

i'm going to be bleakly honest. i hate the UK fashion, seriously. i don't get their whole jersey concept and dresses with pockets/excessive ribbons tassels and smocked this and smocked that, and the whole shorts with leggings thing. i've worn shorts with leggings, and i don't think i look weird, or for the fact... i DON'T look weird (well, kinda maybe sorta i dunno)... i just don't like it. and everywhere i see leggings (aaaaaaaaaaaaall sorts of colours) and shorts (from tartans to checkered to lycra to cotton BUT NO DENIM wtf i'm such a hillbilly i only wear denim shorts). it's what defines UK! if you see anyone in Msia wearing that, ask them, they sure say they get from miss selfridge/topshop/dorothy perkins one! ok la maybe now that this whole fashion thing has spread pasar malam also can get hehe...

not to mention the heavy layering that the UK weather encourages all their penduduk to take part in. yea, okay it may be very useful (actually, not really. it's been snowing here. what lah. it's like winter needs one last chance to show off how cold she can be before being cheerfully forgotten for the next 9 months), but i think it makes ppl look like their very poor! it's not like those things come cheap ok.. all those cost money and each separate apparel costs at least 8 pounds if not obviously more! you know, a tank top here(maybe 8 pounds), a t shirt there (maybe 12 pounds), then a cardigan somewhere above (maybe 22 pounds), and then those useless kinds of thin thin shawl/scarf (only about 5cm in width kind probably cheaper like 7 pounds), and then finally a jacket (this one expensive lah say 50 pounds?).

then at the bottom wear shorts and tights/leggings and pumps.
wah why like that. the shape macam triangle! heheheh!
heh, my opinion only lah ok. some ppl super suka, let them suka la who am i to tell them not to suka, kan? hahaha. macamlah aku ni fashionista yang amat terkenal like that only. heh.



so ANYWAY.
i keep digressing tch.

i bought 3 tops (hah, daddy will kill me if he knew) and a dress. and knickers (cos 3 pairs were MOLDED up *click to refer* boooo).

yea i love my 3 new tops. and they were like damn cheap la you know, cheaper than FOS kinds. and if you know me/have met me/live with me/love me/are my friend, you'll know i'm the most boringestest person when i'm choosing tops. i don't like fuss and i like it PLAIN, and preferably in ONE colour, at most 3. no. usually 2. but ok la 3 is a good number. so today i bought one mustard top, one bright turquoise (i really liked the uhm, collar of it), and one brown striped (rugby type huak huak!) abecrombie and fitch wannabe top.

and the dress?

hahahah. ok lets say it was just SUCH an impulsive buy right, and when i saw myself in the mirror in it in the dressing room right, i burst out laughing. yeah ppl thought i must've been crazy because after that i also burst into a fit of sneezes (7 in total) that was totally random (i dunno why, maybe i got chills cos i had to strip to almost bare naked to try on clothes heh).

so because i think i kinda look funny yet nice yet omgwhatareyouthinking! in it, i freaking bought it. hahahaha. ok damn weird, i know and it's very unlike me to do something like that but what the heck, we only live once and i'm only in UK today at this date this year ONCE, i'll just buy it. i didn't show poon or anything, i just walked out the dressing room with a silly grin on my face, fully knowing what i'm doing hahah.

oh btw! i also tried on this skirt thing, but i don't really know how it works. at first i thought that the top part of the skirt was supposed to be at your hips, so that it perfectly wraps it nicely and adorns the front part with the 3 cute wrapped buttons, but then when i actually tried it on i think it's supposed to sit at the tummy/waist part to act like a fitted/sewed-on waist belt! in anycase, i didn't buy it cos i dunno why poon didn't like it sooooo much that he hesitated to even let me try it on (O_o i know right! maybe it was just THAT ugly. but in my defense it was a white summer skirt lah, how wrong can it get, kan? aih dunno la. thinking about it i feel like going back there to just buy it, hmm. decisions!).

so anyway back to the dress. when i got back i tried it on for him to see and then the fella's first word was "aiyoh!"

die lah like that!!!! how to manage? mahder i spent money on the dress liao and it's on me in the room i have the receipt and business done liao, and he said "aiyoh!"

sigh.

then he called me his alice in wonderland. and his "big girl" ... and then after a pause, he added "friend".

and that to make me feel better he'll throw me a frock party for my birthday so that the dress will fit right in -_- frock party, eh. now lets just have raggedy ann and jojo the clown in the other 2 empty seats and have imaginary tea that's actually really water pouring out of my plastic tea"pot" k? with sponges as scones too, at that :(

because i'm the only blinking fool who thought it was a good idea to buy a FROCK because i thought it was funny :( frock wor. FROCK! i thought it was a dress? no meh!

i also wanted to tell SOMEBODY (because poon is sleeping AGAIN, and therefore nobody knows yet hehe) that i finally made my FIRST e-bay purchase! HO HO HO! *bangga* the wonders of online shopping, mygoodness! i don't have to move/fight/walk/keep a look out/watch where i'm going lest i bump into angmoh aunty! it's wonderful!

so yea i bought a bag. ehhehehe :D a bag that is.... uhm. well. i dunno. i'll let you know when/if it arrives. i really like the bag and it's a big bag like what i've always wanted, just not leather/faux leather or any of that canvasy sorts... but it IS big and brown and it is shiny (don't leave me in places that has shiny things hehehe)!

so guess how much it cost!!!!

damn yeng right. the bid was going to close in 35 minutes, and so i thought YES LAH now i won't really have to wait and anticipate for a whole week (or 2 days, whichever) for my item!

so when i placed the bid and found out i was th FIRST (and probably the ONLY) bidder, i was thrilled! thrilled, i say! super happy and feel all accomplished and all that too! :D

yea, trust me to be a steady and careful online shopper lah, it was AFTER i placed the bid that i read that shipping costs 13 pounds -_____- i'm like "omg!" and then i proceeded to look for the origins of this seller and found out that he's from CHINA! ok la although almost EVERYTHING is made in China (yes, even your precious Gucci and Prada and LV and wtv else you all are so proud of nyehehehehe), one has to always know that you don't usually buy stuff from e-bay that comes form China. yealah. so here i am, sitting bodoh. and dumbfounded -_-

THEN i panicked, i went to check his "rating" thingy, and saw that he had 98.8% as opposed to most 99.9% or 100% !!!! i panicked, and then went to the "detailed feedback" section and silly me i only chose to see the negative comments and then started freaking out and started hoping that there would be another bidder for this item T.T

but i failed to see the COPIOUS amounts of other good remarks that were left of this seller and proceeded to panic. sahmore i just studied yesterday that negative impressions usually overshadow good impressions no matter the ratio and frequency/strength if presented first. so yeahlah, i'm a living breathing social psychology phenomena harhar...

but anyway, after reading the NICER comments i felt better la.
also hor, this seller super ganas one. he go cuss and swear and curse at the people who left him bad comments. wah don't mess. i just want my pretty bag and be done with the transaction.

now i have to wait for 7-9 nervous working days for the clearance of my transaction and THEN wait another 10-15 days for my package to arrive.
NERVE-WRECKING MUCH!
money go out also nervous. go out already then worry about the stock that comes in! what if it's not nice or it's not like how the picture depicted it!
at least it's a bag and not a clothing item la you know... he did say it was/is brand new blablabla, and he's kinda trustable ACCORDING to the comments. all these angmohs that buy from him all super suka his quality and "china"-ness la if you know what i mean.

he reply mails hor, using translator one loh i think. i mean, his sentences do not make grammatical sense, but in a VERY primitive way, it does... you get what i mean? it's like me speaking italian la. practically a string of nouns and YOU have to make sense of it haha :)

wah if you made it this far hearing me ooze with self delight about my shopping adventure then you must be pretty bored la hor. here i am sitting at 9.30pm local time while poon sleeps away trying to entertain both myself and you- the reader.
