Confused.

It's funny how I can't be who I really am around people I go to church with.
These so called friends..
(disclaimer: only some are awesome)

And how I'm totally comfortable and feel 100% accepted by my non church-going friends.

The church-- the biggest court in the world. You can be sure that whenever you step into a church, you ARE judged. But on the streets? At restaurants or cafes with your friends who don't care where you come from or who you hate or like? There you can feel most comfortable.

What a pity :\

It is an unfortunate truth. And it has been that way since the begining of time. I belong to a really great church in Hollywood. Everyone is rather youngh and hip, and the pastor teaches with conviction. But, when I went to a small group to try and get to know some of my fellow church goers, I was shunned because I live with my boyfriend. No one bothered to hear my story (no family, friends to help when I got laid off). No one cared that we don't have sex. All they heard was "you live together." Needless to say, we go to church now, but keep to ourselves. :(

Aimay: I suppose you have every right to feel scorned and angry, but the main point to remember when you go to church is that you're going to find God-- HE is the one who loves you for who you ARE :) I hope you do find a church that will be accepting of you!

Micha: It is a shame :( Society scorns those who don't share the same values as they do. Keep going to church! :) God doesn't scorn against you. Of course, don't keep scorning against God either. It's a 2 way street.
